On the occasion of Frieze London 2024, Rose Easton presented new works by Eva Gold that continue the artist’s ongoing exploration of cinema and its mechanisms. Bringing together interior and exterior worlds, the staged environment sits somewhere between a domestic space and a white cube.

As part of this staging, a text was presented in the form of a paper tower of loose A3 sheets, inviting the viewer to sit down, read and be enveloped by the scenography. Typographically, the ephemera evokes the hum-drum and banal visual language of an oversized office document. Using narrative and essayistic voices, the text work explores agency, victimhood and ambiguous consent.
