Vojtěch Kovařík’s debut monograph explores the artist’s surreal worlds populated by large-scale painted figures from classical Greek and Roman mythology.

Writers Alex Bacon and Jeppe Ugelvig unpack a range of issues Kovařík engages with in his work, from the legacy of communist era monuments, to the nuances of his exploration of contemporary bodily experience.

A raw board slip case presents a window through to the artefact within. The cover's classical composition and bespoke lettering reference Roman architectural alphabets and ancient art history books. The blue foiled square offers a tactile introduction to the artist's recurring motif.
